The new directory for the glass and glazing industry, the Insight Index, only launched six months ago but has already passed 60,000 page views.
The directory lists over 600 suppliers of products, components and services and visitors can quickly find new industry-specific companies and products without spending hours trawling search engines.
The Index was developed by specialist database company Insight Data. “We recognised that the industry needed a new kind of directory that was comprehensive and up-to-date” explains commercial director Helen Costeloe-Hughes; “the Index enables visitors to browse supplier information, products and accreditations, and download technical information and sales literature.”
Suppliers can log-on and update their own content, including videos and social media, as well as view their own visitor traffic stats.
“Visitor numbers are growing rapidly month-on-month as more people use the Index, with over 12,000 page-views in the last month. This is not general web traffic, but specifically fabricators, installers, glass companies and other industry users searching for products and suppliers” adds Helen.
Vertical sliding sash manufacturer, Roseview Windows, was one of the first companies to register on the Index to promote their innovative VS products. Mike Bygraves, commercial manager said; “We saw the potential of the Insight Index straight away, and so far we’ve had over 2,300 visitors. The Index puts us in front of thousands of potential customers and boosts our profile across the industry.”
