Insight Data launched with a small telephone research team focusing on the glazing and fenestration industry with data supplied to clients with monthly updates via spreadsheet.
2007
Insight Data founder, Andrew Scott, believes that data should be available online in real-time, and recruits a software development team.
2008
Salestracker V1 launches, providing a growing list of customers with access to data via a basic online portal.
2009
Insight wins the Government backed Enterprise Agency ‘Business of the Year’ Award for continued growth, innovation and technology.
2010
Relocation into new offices as the team expands. New architects database added with rapid success across the construction industry.
2011
All new Salestracker V2 launches with integrated CRM platform, providing users with the world’s first CRM with live prospect data.
2012
Insight team passes 20 staff and 400 users of Salestracker. Awarded membership of the Direct Marketing Association and the Glass & Glazing Federation.
2013
The UK’s largest database of ‘local builders’ launched along with the Construction File of major house-builders and main contractors. Total database now passes 50,000 records with 60,000 verified email addresses.
2014
Salestracker V3 launches with world-class CRM, integrated financial data and credit scoring. Insight introduces 7 methods of updating its prospect database including a new call-centre making over 20,000 calls per month.
2015
Insight launch Salestracker Mobile CRM with geo-location map technology. Users soar to over 700 including world-leaders in building products.
2016
Insight Data move into brand new offices and acquire an additional 5,000 ft² of office space as the business expands.
2017
Salestrackers in-built email marketing platform enables users to build and send email campaigns, monitor campaigns results and feeds leads straight into Salestracker for the sales team to follow up.
2018
Insight Data co-organises the first ever Glazing Summit bringing together leaders from across the glass and glazing industry for a unique one-day event.
2019
A new comprehensive data set of over 7,500 Builders Merchants covering national, regional and local outlets specialising in building materials, tools and supplies.
2021
The Insight Data team successfully became ISO9001 certified. The certification is the gold standard of British Standards on quality, setting out the requirements for a high-quality management system. Upon completion, Insight became one of only 25,000 out of four million in the UK to receive the certification.
2024
The team at Insight Data caused a stir at UK Construction Week held at the NEC in Birmingham. It was the first time, since 2018, the team had exhibited at this prestigious three-day event and the stand was inundated with visitors who were keen to discover how they could win new business, target prospects and access the latest insights about their industry.
2024
This year marked a significant milestone for Insight Data's email marketing operations who successfully delivered 5 million emails to recipients - their highest-ever annual total. This achievement represents a huge increase from the previous 2.2 million record in 2022 and demonstrates strong, consistent growth in its data management and marketing services.
2025
At the beginning of 2025, Insight Data relocated to 200 Park Way bringing all companies within the Ascot Group together under one roof. This move will be incredibly beneficial for the business as it will allow the team to focus on their business growth strategy for the year ahead.
