Insight Data has taken another major step forward in technology with the installation of a super-high-speed Fibre Optic communications network.
“We invested heavily last year in a new VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) telephone system that links our phone lines directly with our software systems to increase research call rates and improve data accuracy,” explains Matthew Stone, Software Development Manager.
“The investment in our dedicated fibre optics network allows us to greatly expand our research centre and effectively future-proofs us with virtually unlimited call capabilities. At the same time, it gives us lightning-fast communications and data transfer speeds.”
The average Broadband speed in the UK is around 5Mb with BT Infinity promising up to 40Mb. Insight’s new FTTP fibre optics network has 1,000Mb (10Gb) speeds enabling hundreds of simultaneous telephone calls. The investment is part of a three-year growth plan that expects to see the current research centre treble in size.
