Sean Payne, Insight Data’s lead software developer, celebrates his 10 year anniversary with Insight Data. Here he looks back over the last 10 years and explains how Insight Data has grown and evolved.
There were 12 of us when I started with the company in 2010. I joined fresh out of University with a degree in web design and helped started out in email marketing and developing the Insight Index before working on Salestracker.
On the Salestracker platform:
I’ve seen the platform evolve hugely over the years. It started out as a list builder and then over the years we’ve added CRM, a mobile version of the site featuring geolocation and the inclusion of an email tool within the platform.
It is satisfying to assist customers in the day-to-day running of their business and reassuring to see companies who adopt Salestracker so wholly.
On Insight Data:
Insight Data has grown over the years too. I think we originally had something like 4 researchers, one developer, a research manager and one person doing management and marketing.
“Now there are around 80 of us across the group, but the passion and family feel is still part of our culture.”
On the future of the Salestracker platform:
The next version of Salestracker has greater scope than I could have imagined, given that we’re exploring machine learning and revolutionary data collection and analysis. It is genuinely exciting.
In the meantime, we have some quality-of-life updates in the pipeline for the current version of Salestracker due to be released in the next few months.
Jade Greenhow, Insight Data’s Operations Director continues;
“We are fortunate to have such a talented and committed team. Sean is a vital part of the Insight Data set-up. His work has contributed to the success we have experienced as we’ve grown and evolved as a business.”
